A première exhibition of LEONARDO’S SCRIPT Project was held in the ASTI Gallery. Margarita Siourina presented 26 graphic sheets from the Series.
Natella Voiskounski, Art Director of the ASTI Gallery held the opening. She confided the concept of LEONARDO’S SCRIPT Project to the public, and presented a short preliminary study of the new series of the Artist’s graphic works (read more: N. Voiskounski, LEONARDO’S SCRIPT)
As it often happens in the ASTI Gallery, the vernisage opening naturally turned into a creative meeting and discussion: Irina Andreeyevna Zelenova told the guests about A. Gouber, a remarkable person, outstanding art historian and researcher of Leonardo da Vinci manuscripts (read more: LIFE CHRONICLES OF ANDREY ALEXANDROVICH GOUBER); Natella Voiskounski, Serguey Sergueevich Rappoport and Margarita Siourina have been reading their poems, short stories and pieces from plays (read more: CHRISTMAS CAROLS FOR ADULTS by M. Siourina).
On the 29th of December, 2011 and on the 5th and the 14th of January 2012, the friends got together again in the ASTI Gallery to spend creatively Christmas evenings.
Initially specified reflectivity of the Project gave rise to double mirroring images that appeared at each Christmas evening recital:
THESIS – ANTITHESIS
LEFT – RIGHT
INTUITION – LOGIC
POETRY – PROSE
TO BE or NOT TO BE?
And if to be, then HOW?
To be or not to be?
This Hamlet’s problem
Is an emblem of eternity
Or, probably, maternity,
Or Hamlet’s failed fraternity
A glass of crystal-clear water
Gives the answer to the flower
When watering
It in the morning
This Hamlet’s question is a mourning
Over his damned and crooked life
Without father’s warmth and love
If ever asked “to be or not to be?”
Remember, Time flies
And it tells lies –
We all… we only seem to be…

Margarita Siourina was reciting with pleasure for a fantastic lady-banker Margarita Zhemchugova, the character being absolutely opposite to the Artist…
Sure, at each Christmas evening recital everybody spoke of LEONARDO DA VINCI, whose life, actions and works up to now serve as inexhaustible source of inspiration for everyone who numbers himself or herself among HOMO SAPIENS biological species…
