Margarita Siourina
A Swirl of Thoughts

The title Landscape without a Hero came to my mind less than 3 months prior to the opening of the exhibition. I really can’t explain how it happened. I know one thing for sure: the combination of these words describes the principles of reality contemplation that we share with Valery Rodin to the utmost precision.

I perceive the theme Landscape without a Hero as a certain state of consciousness, when a viewer turns into a participant of the events, into someone contemplating a particular event that is taking place right in front of his eyes and then becomes the main character of the story. Feeling oneself involved into the mystery of being, opportunity to see something peculiar behind a common event, a desire to emphasise it by selecting and finally to depict it in a photo. Everything makes a Great Play with fantastic decorations.
