EVENT OF CHARITY to raise funds for an ORPHANAGE

Event of Charity to raise funds to build an Orphanage affiliated to Nikolo-Perervinskaya Cloister in Pechatniki took place on November 26, 2009 in the Ardena Gallery, in the halls of International Slavonic Cultural Centre.

Margarita Siourina donated three paintings to the Event in order to assist with building an orphanage:

  1. Winter Evening, 2008 (lot 39)
  2. Red Windflowers, 2009 (lot 52), author’s version of the work painted in 1992, the original is in a private collection in Paris.
  3. Red Grapes, 2009 (additional lot).

Lots 39 and 52 were sold to private collections with the funds transferred to benefit of the orphanage.

Margarita Siourina bought three works to benefit building of the orphanage:

  1. Autumn Hedgehog, 2003, by Vladimir Popov (lot 12, catalogue 2009)
  2. My Angel, 2007, by Masha Oustrashkina (lot 1, catalogue 2008)
  3. St. Geo
